Monday Wednesday Lotto is organized by Australian’s Lottoland and was initially called the Monday Lotto, where the draws took place only once a week, each Monday. This caused the estimated jackpot to be lower than today’s top prize, attracting more players with every draw.

In 1984 the Wednesday draw was introduced, but in 1996 was changed to Thursday before returning to Wednesday when the Powerball Lotto game was launched.
Originally, players who wanted to participate in the Australia Monday & Wednesday Lotto had to choose six numbers from a pool of 40. After some time, the set of numbers was increased to 44 before finally getting to today’s 45.
Before the 1994 launch of Oz Lotto, Monday & Wednesday Lotto was the only lottery game that could be played in New South Wales.
How to play the Monday Wednesday Lotto
To take part in the Monday & Wednesday Lotto, you need to pick six winning numbers from a range of 1 to 45. Additional to that, you need to choose two supplementary numbers.
