Lotto Results Ecuador
Lotto is among the most popular raffle games played by Ecuadorians. Its straightforward rules and unique format keep players invested in the lottery, while the generous reward system attracts new participants.
Once a player enters the raffle, they receive their lottery ticket with a six-digit combination. The numbers the player gets can be from 000000 to 999999. As such, the lottery’s format limits the number of participants to one million.
Besides playing the main game, players can enter Lotto Plus draws, and Lottito draws for $1 each. These are small additions to the main game that offer extra prizes. For Lotto Plus, an additional six-digit number is drawn, while Lottito requires another 19 six-digit numbers.
The main lottery features three draw days: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, draws take place at 6 PM local time. However, on Saturdays, they are held at 12 PM local time.
The lottery ticket prices vary depending on the draw participants want to enter. For Tuesday and Thursday draws, the ticket price is $1, while for Saturday draws, the price rises to $2. The primary reason for it is that Saturday draws offer higher jackpots.
Jackpot
The Lotto jackpot is a fixed sum. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, it equals $200,000, and on Saturdays, the jackpot grows to $500,000.
It is worth mentioning that there are no rollovers and roll downs — all prices are won during every drawing session.
Odds and Prizes
The odds of winning the Lotto jackpot are 1:1,000,000. However, these odds improve if fewer than the maximum number of participants (1,000,000) enter the raffle.
The odds of winning secondary prizes are slightly higher. Overall, Lotto offers over 90,000 chances to win financial rewards, including the $10,000 Lotto Plus prize and $2,000 Lottito prize.
The Lotto prize pool for Tuesday and Thursday draws is $399,600. For Saturday draws, it is even higher — standing at nearly $800,000.
Payout and Taxes
Lotto prizes are always awarded to the players as one lump sum payment. The current tax law in Ecuador subtracts 14% of all earnings above $500 as tax. As such, the Lotto winnings are deducted at source if they exceed the $500 threshold.
To claim their winnings, players have three months since the draw. The funds are usually transferred to the bank account of the player’s choice.
Who Can Play Lotto?
Lotto is available for all Ecuador citizens above 18 years of age. All willing to play the game need to purchase lottery tickets from authorized lottery retailers scattered around Ecuador or visit the official website to buy the tickets online.
Sadly, Lotto is unavailable for those who live outside the country.
