About Lotto America
Lotto America is a multi-state lottery that started in November 2017. The name comes from the original Lotto America, which was a lottery game offered between 1988 and 1992. The new version of Lotto America is a replacement for the Hot Lotto, which, at the time, was involved in a fraud scandal.
Lotto America is available in 13 jurisdictions Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Montana, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
How to Play Lotto America
To participate in Lotto America, you need to choose five numbers from 1 to 52 (red balls/main numbers) and one from 1 to 10 (Lotto America Star Ball number). You can decide them on your own and mark them on a play slip, or you can let the machine decide for you and assign you random numbers.
An interesting feature is the Lotto America All-Star Bonus. It is a multiplier that allows you to increase your winnings by up to 5 times. However, it only works on non-jackpot prizes, meaning that the grand prize remains the same even if you paid for the All-Star Bonus option. The multiplier number is randomly chosen before each draw.
