Lotto Plus is a popular Ecuadorian raffle game played in the whole country. Plenty of people purchase tickets with the hopes of winning prizes.
Ecuador’s lotteries are unique, as none of its games allow players to select their own numbers. Instead, they receive a combination of six numbers between 0 and 9. The draws take place three times a week: on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 PM and at 12 PM on Saturdays.
Players can play the game multiple times throughout the week, as the game is basically split into a few smaller lotteries. The price of the tickets varies depending on the day (as the minimum jackpots differ): on Tuesdays and Thursdays it’s USD 1, on Saturdays USD 2.

Payout and Taxes
All Lotto Plus prizes are paid in a lump sum, and winners have up to three months to claim the money. It’s possible to claim smaller prizes from authorized lottery retailers. However, players who win higher-value prizes need to contact Guayaquil Junta de Beneficencia to verify their win, and only then can they receive the payment.

The tax of 14% applies to the winnings, and it’s deducted by the Lottery office when verifying payment of the prizes.
